The L.A. Art Machine (LAAM) is an online publication and arts organization based in Los Angeles but with an eye on a global art phenomenon. The LAAM covers the most relevant and current happenings in the art world, organizes events, curates exhibitions, and advocates for a continuing and vital art community on all levels.

 

CONTRIBUTORS

 

BRYSON STRAUSS

Bryson is a gallery and museum curator. He has directed and helped launch galleries, exhibited widely, and curated contemporary art exhibitions in the U.S. and abroad. He is the former Associate Curator of folk and traditional arts and music at the Museum of the American West in Los Angeles, California. For more than 20 years, Bryson has worked directly with artists, exhibitors, collectors, foundations, and art institutions. He is a fine art journalist, an art advocate, and a big fan of automotive maintenance.


 
  A. LUCIA CARDONA

A. Lucia Cardona is the head of LAAM’s design and branding team. She has worked as a graphic designer, creative director, and artistic director for the past decade. Lucía specializes in arts and cultural campaigns and has lead national and international projects with Janssen Cilag, S.A. (Colombia), Camara de Comercio Latinoamerica and el Caribe, Quala, S.A., Helado Colombia, YARGER | STRAUSS Contemporary (Beverly Hills), and M. Golden Fine Art (Santa Monica), among others. 

 
  TOM KUMMER

Tom Kummer is a Swiss writer and the most controversial journalist in German print media history. He has been published in every major German and Swiss publication and is the author of several books, including the subversive and defiant "Knut, The Little Ice Bear."

 
  ASHLEY "Holiday" EATON

Ashley “Holiday” is a commercial artist who works as a product developer, illustrator, and art director introducing new ideas to the market place from initial concept(s) to finished product. She has played a key role in launching many national and international businesses and products with her original illustrations and designs. Currently, Holiday’s work focus is on fashion and art as she joins the LAAM’s list of lunatic contributors.

 
Anne Philippi   ANNE PHILIPPI

Anne Philippi was a writer for German Vanity Fair in Berlin. Currently, Philippi lives in Los Angeles, where she is the West Coast editor for German Rolling Stone and a writer for German GQ.
